Also, travelers leaving Rwanda are required to test for covid19 and provide negative results with 48 hours before departure. Travelers going to trek gorillas and chimpanzees MUST wear face masks throughout the trek to avoid the spread of the deadly virus to these endangered species. Temperature screening is a must for all travelers; mandatory hand washing, sanitizing and keeping a seven-meter distance is a mandate for travelers.
