Day 1: Pick up from Kigali to Goma
Our driver-guide will pick you u from Kigali international airport or your hotel in Kigali and transfer and transfer to Gisenyi. Have lunch on the shores of Lake Kivu and later cross over to Goma. Dinner and overnight stay at Mikeno Lodge.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking & Departure
In the early morning, have breakfast, get your packed lunch and transfer to Virunga park headquarters for briefing about the dos and dons of gorilla trekking. Hiking to see gorillas start at 8:00 am lasting for as short as 30 minutes to several hours depending on where gorillas are located that day. On meeting gorillas, you will spend an hour with the gorilla family to learn their social behaviors, take pictures and have fun with these amazing creatures. Hike down, meet your driver-guide and drive back to Kigali for your connecting flight.
