Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up & transfer to Nyungwe Forest
After landing at Kigali international airport, meet our driver guide and transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park. Drive southwestwards through the rolling hills of Rwanda and the beautiful Kigali with a stopover at Nyanza royal palace. Dinner and overnight at Gisakura guest house/ Nyungwe Hilltop view
Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking & Canopy walk
Wake up early, have a cup of coffee and drive to Nyungwe forest park headquarters to register and attend a briefing about the rules and regulations of chimpanzee trekking. Nyungwe chimpanzee treks are done in either the main forest or in Cyamudongo forest but all thee experiences are memorable and worth it. In the afternoon, join a canopy walk for aerial views of the forest. The 60 meters high canopy offers you the best views of Nyungwe forest, the Virunga volcanoes and neighboring communities without any distraction. Dinner and overnight at Gisakura guest house/ Nyungwe Hilltop view
Day 3: Departure
After morning breakfast, check out and drive back to Kigali for your connecting flight.
