Day 1: pick up & transfer to Akagera National Park
Today, your driver-guide (our company representative) will pick you up from Kigali airport or your hotel in Kigali for a transfer to Akagera national park I eastern Rwanda. The distance from Kigali to Akagera national park takes roughly 3 hours to drive through the rolling hills of Rwanda and towns. Dinner and overnight at Akagera Game Lodge

Day 2: Game Viewing & boat cruise at Lake Ihema
Wake up early and transfer to the open grasslands of Akagera Game Park for excellent game viewing. The park is home to the “ Big five game” (Elephants, lions, rhinos, leopards, buffalos) plus other animals like giraffes, zebras, Elands, waterbucks and elands among others. Return to the lodge for late breakfast, refresh and wait for hot lunch. In the afternoon, go for a boat cruise at Lake Ihema whose shores shelter a variety of bird species and water animals especially hippos. Dinner and overnight at Akagera Game Lodge

Day 3: Departure
Have breakfast, check out and transfer back to Kigali for your connecting flight.
